Finally Indri, I finished your homework.

Posted by Miss Umbas on 20:59 in

For once I would like to try writing my blog in English. So, here's the catch: I have been assigned for a "homework" by one of my best friends who's enjoying her fourth year in the land where smoking pot is legal (why am I even bothering to mention this?hahaha). She tagged me in her blog Dramalicious entitled the "Smile Stone Award". The rule is: you tag or give this award for five people, and the listed five people must talk about the seven things that made you smile today. Well, I'm bending the rule a bit, I'll talk about the things that has made me smile for this past week instead. But not only smile, but has made me laugh to the max (or as my good friends would say in Indonesian: Anty ketawa klimaks.)

Speaking of the seven things, I might as well sing one verse of my favorite (guilty pleasureable) song by Miley Cyrus. "The seven things I like about you: your hair, your eyes, your old Levi's, when we kiss I'm hypnotized, you make me laugh, you make me cry but I guess that's both I'll have to buy, your hands in mine when we intertwine, I want to be with the one I know. And the seventh thing I like the most that you do: You make me LOVE you."
- pretty nice ya?

Okay, okay moving on to the main point of this blog. My list of seven things that has made me smile and laugh to the maximum.
1. Since last Friday my internet in the dorm did not work. Well, there's only three significant websites that affected me the most: (Yes, you've guessed it) Facebook, Skype, and my own blogspot account. But I smiled the night away by watching re-runs on of Disney Channel's TV-Series: Lizzie McGuire and That's so Raven all on Youtube. Hallelujah to Youtube.

2. Because I cannot open Facebook from my laptop, I've been browsing on to some local Indonesian websites such as the famous: detik.com, and of course kaskus.us. And believe me, opening both of those sites made me laugh until I cried. "Kalo berkenan, boleh ijo-ijo-nya,gan." --> a simple translation into English: (I don't think there is one, haha).
Well, I've been discussing every bits and pieces of this website with one of my good friends. I even looked it up in Wikipedia (oh God, how lame am I?).

3. My highschool friends and I secretly has an inbox in Facebook where we can all just write something up, and reply to each other, and this just keep us together even if we are separated in different countries (Believe me, whatever happens in the inbox, stays in the inbox!). Just reading hundreds of replies on Manchester United, Garage Sale, Ponari, and even things that are not appropriate to be explained in this public blog made me smile and yeah, ketawa klimaks.

4. Kilikitik made me laugh, want to know why? just click on it. Try listening to Mary McGregor's Torn between two lovers song, and the next thing that'll happen to you is: the song won't leave your head. That's what happened to me by the way. "Torn between two lovers, acting like a fool, loving both of you is breaking all the rules."

5. My room-mate gave me Mie Goreng, and korean style Skittles. Me: Heng bok hea! --> That's korean for happy. And when I say Mie Goreng, it's really-really the real Indonesian instant mie-goreng.

6. (this one is a bit cheesy) I have finally watched Titanic, from start to ending without any commercial interuption. Of course I still cannot resist the best part when Kate and Leo's hand intertwine and the backsound is the instrumental version of Celine Dion's My heart will go on. One more: "You jump, I jump, right?".

7. Lastly I would dearly congratulate Mr. Dimas Arya Noviaji for finally receiving his Sarjana Ekonomi (Bachelor's in Economic), your achievement put a really big smile on me and made me smile like a hyena. Now he is one step closer towards his double degree dream. Having a degree in Economics and Law (at the same time). To fulfill his dreams to become: a Tax Lawyer. Which probably is almost the highest paying job (or so I've heard). Well, there is one more quote that I've taken from History Boys that relates to this: "Dakin you're happy I'm sure." -- "Of course I'm happy. I'm a tax lawyer, money's incredible!"

There you have it, the seven things that gives an icing effect for my week.

It will be really hard now to pick another five people to give the Smile Stone Award, but here goes:
1. Dimas Arya Noviaji (obviously!).
2. Pangeran Andreas (the juragan).
3. Vicky Bisukma (the Kilikitik master-mind-genius).
4. All of my friends who is listed on the "Gara-gara Ponari, inboxnya pindah ke sini" inbox club.
5. Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio (you made me smile alright!)

Now, keep the Smile Stone Award thread going, and start writing those blog. I postponed mine for almost two months, so take your time.
